Homelessness
Begins October 4
There are nearly 1,500 homeless men and women in Fresno. The 2019 Point in Time Homeless Count found just under 1,500 homeless men, women, and children in the city of Fresno. Today’s homeless population are diverse in education, literacy, skills, job experience, military services, age, and reasons for leaving their homes. With the pandemic and subsequent unemployment, more and more families are losing their homes.
Join the conversation with Matt Dildine, Executive Director of the Fresno Rescue Mission, whose mission is to provide rescue, restoration, and empowerment to those who are homeless. Their services include 24 hour services for those in need of food, shelter, protective services, vocational and academic programs, spiritual counseling, and job placement.
