University Presbyterian Church has a rich history of intentional theological engagement, inspiring worship and service to the community. In fact, the 2018-2019 school year marks 50 years in UPC history. In celebration of this great milestone, we want to intentionally celebrate our legacy and plan for the future. Part of this planning is to make sure that our church campus and ministries are in strong financial health, and that we have the resources necessary to continue this work for generations to come.
Our leadership is currently looking at various ways to support our ministry, and any financial needs that come with it. One of the options that we are considering is participating in a capital campaign in 2019-2022. While we are still in the investigatory stages of this process, we have engaged Horizons Stewardship Company to conduct a study to assess the interest and feasibility of these plans.
As a part of this study, we are asking members and friends of UPC to share their views regarding our church and its proposed plans. The following proposal ‘Living in God’s Love: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow’ explains what we are seeking to do and why. Please take the time to read the proposal carefully and share your thought with our Elders.
